The legendary DJ Q-Bert with amazing jazz musician Alex Hahn in the latest international concert of Rebel Babel Ensemble conducted by Lukas L.U.C. Rostkowski.
This video is just a small preview of the Polish Film Composers series concert that full premiere is scheduled on 20.12 at LUCfilms and NOLA Jazz Museum.

The international, open orchestra Rebel Babel Ensemble has already joined over 11,000 musicians. Parallel to the work on the album with Polish artists, Dialog 2, an international, transatlantic album Dialog 3 with musicians from Europe and the USA is being created. Roaring 20’s 2022 is the latest production of L.U.C., which, in cooperation with the Jazz Museum from New Orleans, brought together over a dozen producers, DJs and jazz musicians in a concert referring to the works of the Polish interwar period. We will hear fragments of songs by Hanka Ordonówna, Marian Demar, Henryk Wars, Mieczysław Fogg, Emanuel Szlachter in new hip-hop and chill-hop versions. A traveling concert showing musicians and their environments and landscapes from different parts of the world will be heard and seen on 20.12 on the LUCfilms channel and on the channels of the Jazz Museum in New Orleans. The concert was co-produced with the Adam Mickiewicz Institute.

L.U.C. – It is said that history rarely repeats itself, but it often rhymes. I have an impression of a certain resemblance of the present to the 20s of the last century not only becouse of the crazy inflation. An overwhelming number of inventions, a change in the perception of reality then through moving images and cinema – today through the Internet, bitcoins and virtual reality. Huge socio-economic changes, escape from freedom and great anxiety in the specter of the crisis and even wars. At that moment, we wanted to recall the role of a peaceful dialogue between cultures. With our international concerts, we want to remind that humanity is one orchestra that plays together in a small, lonely philharmonic hall, which is the Earth, suspended in an empty and cold space. One Planet, One Love, One Ensemble.

Międzynarodowa, otwarta orkiestra Rebel Babel Ensemble połączyła już ponad 11.000 muzyków. Równolegle z pracą nad albumem z polskimi artystami Dialog 2 powstaje międzynarodowy, transatlantycki album Dialog 3 z muzykami z Europy i USA. Roaring 20’s 2022 to najnowsza produkcja L.U.C., który w kooperacji z Muzeum Jazzu z Nowego Orleanu połączył kilkunastu producentów, dj’ów i muzyków jazzowych w koncercie nawiązującym do utworów polskiego dwudziestolecia międzywojennego. Usłyszymy fragmenty piosenek Hanki Ordonówny, Mariana Demara, Henryka Warsa, Mieczysława Fogga, Emanuela Szlachtera w nowych hip-hopowych i chill-hopowych wersjach. Podróżniczy koncert ukazujący muzyków i ich środowiska oraz krajobrazy różnych części świata usłyszymy i zobaczymy 20.12 na kanale LUCfilms oraz na kanałach Muzeum Jazzu z Nowego Orleanu. Koncert powstał w koprodukcji z Instytutem Adama Mickiewicza.

L.U.C. – Mówi się, że historia rzadko się powtarza, ale często rymuje. Mam wrażenie pewnego podobieństwa współczesności do lat 20 ubiegłego wieku i to nie tylko ze względu na szalejącą właśnie inflację. Przytłaczająca ilość wynalazków, zmiana postrzegania rzeczywistości wtedy poprzez ruchomy obraz i kino – dziś poprzez internet, bitcoiny i wirtualną rzeczywistość. Ogromne przemiany społeczno-ekonomiczne, ucieczka od wolności i wielki niepokój widma nadchodzącego kryzysu a nawet wojen. W takiej chwili chcieliśmy przypomnieć o roli pokojowego dialogu między kulturami. Naszymi międzynarodowymi koncertami chcemy przypominać, że ludzkość jest jedną orkiestrą, która gra wspólnie w małej, samotnej filharmonii jaką jest Ziemia zawieszona w pustym i zimnym kosmosie.
